The FDIC continues its Friday afternoon bank takeover procedure. A Nevada and a California bank are now gone, the feds have managed to sell them to Mutual of Omaha. A boulder (IndyMac) and now a couple of pebbles break from the mountainside, is it the start of an avalanche?

This is the most common question asked by readers of Survivalist Blog. Where is the "perfect place” to relocate and set up a survival retreat, and while I hesitate while saying it; the truth is there is no perfect place, one that will shield you from all possible threats. Granted some places are better then others, some being much better. But trying to find the “ideal location” to avoid any possible threat is a futile endeavor.

What would normally be dismissed was now being acted upon in these troubled times, with vast movement of shares trading hands and the value of these companies stocks plunging rapidly.
